Dr Michelle Jacobs is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine who treats adults and children, with subspecialty accreditation in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.

She has a particular interest in adolescent emergency care and the delivery of developmentally appropriate healthcare to young people. She regularly teaches and speaks on this subject and has also co-authored a book on minor trauma in children.

Outside medicine, she enjoys playing the clarinet, singing and swimming.

Dr Ben Hur is an Emergency Medicine doctor who treats both adults and children. She holds an MBChB from the University of Liverpool, a BSc in Urgent and Emergency Care from the University of Plymouth, and MRCEM.

She has a particular interest in pre-hospital and acute care. Her experience includes providing pitch-side medical care with The FA at Wembley Stadium and working with London’s Air Ambulance Physician Response Unit.

Outside medicine, she enjoys travelling.

Dr Farouq Batal has an extensive background in Emergency Medicine, with many years’ experience in the specialty, and is also a qualified GP. This combination brings broad experience in both acute and primary care to his work at Elstree Private Urgent Care.

He completed his GP training on the East and North Hertfordshire training scheme. His extensive Emergency Medicine experience has given him significant expertise in the assessment and management of acute and urgent presentations.

Dr Batal is committed to providing thorough, patient-centred care, combining the breadth of General Practice with his Emergency Medicine experience.

Outside medicine, he has a keen interest in continued learning and personal development.

Dr Priyesh Patel is an experienced NHS doctor with many years’ experience in Emergency Medicine, treating both adults and children. Before studying medicine, he completed degrees in Biomedical Science and Global Health and Development.

Alongside his NHS work, Dr Patel has extensive humanitarian experience, including providing medical care during ocean rescue missions and working in challenging emergency environments.

He is committed to providing calm, compassionate and patient-centred care, with a strong emphasis on clear communication and ensuring patients feel listened to and supported.

Outside medicine, Dr Patel trains in boxing and sprinting.

Dr Elton Chawatama has a strong background in Emergency Medicine and urgent care, having worked in Emergency Medicine across the Midlands and London, and is also a qualified GP.

He has additional expertise in Sports and Exercise Medicine and is a Member of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine. He holds a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine, Exercise & Health, with particular interests in musculoskeletal injuries, concussion and exercise medicine.

Dr Chawatama also works extensively in sports medicine. He is Lead Doctor for GB Maxi Basketball, has worked as a Team GB Doctor at the World University Games, and provides matchday medical care for Saracens Academy. His experience also includes major international sporting events such as the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

Outside medicine, he is a keen basketball player and enjoys live music.

Nick Iven Elorde is an experienced Registered Nurse with over 10 years’ clinical experience, including extensive work in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care and medical-surgical settings. His background has given him considerable experience in assessing and caring for patients with acute and urgent healthcare needs.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cebu in the Philippines and has completed a Level 6 Foundation in Emergency Care course at Barnet Hospital. He also has experience in Occupational Health and outpatient care, including supporting consultants with clinical procedures.

Nick is committed to providing safe, thorough and compassionate patient care, with a calm and patient-focused approach in busy clinical environments.

Outside nursing, he enjoys travelling, attending concerts and playing basketball.
